A well-preserved bilingual (Chinese and English) edition of “Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-Tung,” widely known as the “Little Red Book” — one of the most widely distributed publications of the 20th century, central to Chinese political and cultural life from the 1960s onward.

 

This edition is prefaced with 31 colour photographic plates depicting Mao in various settings, including public addresses, agricultural scenes, and portraits. The main text is organised into 33 thematic chapters, covering topics from party organisation and class struggle to youth, culture, and the correct handling of contradictions among the people, presented in parallel Chinese and English text.
