1970s PG Tips ‘Sergeant Chimp’ Plastic Money Bank – Made in Holland – 22cm

A cheerful piece of British advertising nostalgia — this original 1970s PG Tips ‘Sergeant Chimp’ plastic money bank stands approximately 22cm high.

Produced as part of the much-loved PG Tips chimpanzee advertising campaign, this character is dressed in a military-style uniform with cap, belt and medal detail, standing on a green base embossed “Sergeant Chimp”. The underside is marked Made in Holland.

The coin slot sits neatly in the top of the cap. A great example of classic 1970s promotional memorabilia, and an instantly recognisable piece for collectors of vintage advertising or retro kitchen decor.

Condition is good overall, with visible paint wear and light scuffs consistent with age. The wear adds to its authentic vintage character rather than detracting from it.
