1977 Soviet Table Medal of Young Vladimir Ulyanov (Lenin) in Original Box

A fascinating 1977 Soviet table medal depicting a youthful Vladimir Ulyanov (later Lenin), cast in a bronze-coloured light metal and presented in its original plastic display case. The medal has a crisp relief portrait on the front and raised Cyrillic lettering on the reverse, reading Владимир Ульянов.

It comes complete with the original paper label, giving the item code (SMG-1176a), price and production date. The red plastic box measures 10cm x 10cm and 1.5cm deep, and is typical of late-Soviet commemorative packaging — simple, functional and wonderfully evocative of the era.
