Antique Newlyn Arts & Crafts Copper Vase – Stylised Tulip, Circa 1905
A fine example of Newlyn Arts and Crafts metalwork, this antique copper vase dates to circa 1905 and features the distinctive style and craftsmanship of the renowned Cornish Newlyn School.
The vase stands 19cm high with an 8.5cm base diameter and a 5.5cm top diameter, and is adorned with repoussé decoration of stylised tulips to both front and back. It also features wide, lightly hammered ribbon-style handles, riveted to each side, typical of the Arts and Crafts movement’s focus on handmade detail and natural motifs.
Clearly stamped NEWLYN on the base, this piece carries its original warm copper patina with hints of verdigris, adding to its charm and authenticity. In excellent condition with minor surface wear consistent with age, this is a beautiful collector’s item or a standout accent for any interior inspired by Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts design.
