This graceful dancer brings a lovely touch of Art Deco style to any room. Cast in spelter and finished with a bronzed patina, she captures that classic 1920s–30s look with her poised stance, arched back and sweeping drapery. Pieces like this were made throughout the mid-20th century, inspired by the glamour and movement of earlier Deco sculpture, and she has all the hallmarks of that elegant revival period.

The softer detailing is typical of spelter casting and gives her an appealing, characterful look. She stands on a solid steel base that adds real substance to the piece, giving her a satisfyingly weighty feel at 1.36kg. At 23cm tall, she’s the perfect size for a mantelpiece, bookshelf or sideboard.

A charming decorative figure with a timeless silhouette and plenty of vintage atmosphere.

Condition

Good vintage condition with gentle wear to the patina and a little oxidation on the base, all consistent with age and adding to her character.
