This striking Art Nouveau mantel clock combines elegant design with fine German clockmaking. The silvered spelter case is decorated with flowing organic lines and a draped female figure, capturing the distinctive style of the period.
The clock is fitted with a Gustav Becker movement, stamped with the crown-over-A mark. Gustav Becker was one of Germany’s most respected clockmakers of the late 19th and early 20th century, known for producing reliable and well-made mechanisms.
Dating to around 1900, this piece represents the meeting of decorative artistry and practical craftsmanship that defined the Art Nouveau era.
The clock is complete but currently untested and is being sold as a decorative antique.
