Georgian Hand-Blown Port Glasses – 18th Century Pair with Rough Pontils
These delightful little port glasses date from the English Georgian period and have all the quirks we love in true 18th-century handmade glass. Each one is individually blown, showing a rough snapped pontil beneath and the wonderfully irregular shaping that only comes from early glassmaking techniques.
One glass has a beautifully misshapen rim — uneven at both top and bottom — adding a huge amount of personality and proving its entirely hand-formed origins. They’re full of life, light, and history, and make a lovely decorative display or a charming addition to a period table setting.
Dimensions: approx. 85mm tall × 35mm diameter
Price: £50 the pair
A perfect choice for anyone who appreciates early glass with real soul.
