A beautiful example of Marei Keramik’s expressive 1970s output, this model 7104 vase stands a generous 22cm tall and shows off the distinctive glazing that makes the pottery so sought-after today. The body is finished in a rich deep blue gloss glaze, overlaid with a wonderfully textured matte purple that softens around the shoulder and gathers subtly in the ribbed neck.

The form itself is classic Marei: a broad, rounded body rising to a slightly flared, banded neck, set on a solid, stable foot. The glaze transitions are especially striking on this piece, shifting from inky reflective blue to velvety violet tones that give the vase real depth and presence.
