A striking tall studio pottery jug with fitted lid, finished in a rich red and burnt-orange drip glaze over a warm brown ground. Hand-thrown with a looped handle and pinched spout, this mid-century ceramic piece has beautiful glaze variation and a glossy, tactile finish. A lovely statement piece for a shelf or table — decorative or functional. Unglazed terracotta base typical of studio pottery of the period.
