Original 1969 Soviet Propaganda Poster — V. Konuhov, Lenin, The Victory of Communism is Inevitable, Framed
An original Soviet propaganda poster from 1969, designed by V. Konuhov and produced in the USSR. The composition depicts Lenin gesturing forward with characteristic authority, while behind him a Soviet worker raises a flaming torch crowned with the hammer and sickle — rays of light radiating outward in the bold graphic style that defined Soviet political art of the era. The Cyrillic text reads: Победа коммунизма неизбежна — The Victory of Communism is Inevitable.
This is one of the most recognised images of Cold War Soviet graphic art. Konuhov’s 1969 design has been widely reproduced and studied, and an original example is held in the permanent collection of the Musée d’Histoire Contemporaine in Paris. Printed in large editions for display in public buildings, schools and institutions across the USSR, surviving originals in displayable condition are increasingly sought after by collectors of Cold War ephemera, political art, and graphic design history.
This example has been professionally framed in a black frame with glazing, making it immediately ready to hang. The poster shows minor marks and creasing consistent with its age and original use, but presents well behind glass and retains strong colour throughout.
Dimensions (framed): 89cm x 61cm
Condition: Some marks and creases. Good display condition. Professionally framed.
