A graceful mid-century porcelain ballerina figurine from the Polonne Porcelain Factory, Ukraine (then USSR). Seated delicately and adjusting her slipper, she captures the poise and elegance that made ballet such an enduring theme in Soviet decorative art.

 

Beautifully modelled with expressive features, soft colouring, and fine gilt line details on her dress, this piece is a lovely example of Polonne’s artistry during the 1960s–1970s. The light crackling of the glaze adds vintage charm, and although there’s a small chip to the base, she still displays beautifully.
