A striking and highly decorative Russian Soviet sweet tin from the famous Krasny Oktyabr (Red October) confectionery company. Originally founded by the German chocolatier Theodor von Einem in the 19th century, the firm was renamed after the Russian Revolution and became one of the USSR’s most iconic confectionery brands.
This tin is richly decorated in deep cobalt blue, gold, and turquoise tones with ornate scrollwork and floral details, raised patterns, and claw feet. The central emblem bears the Krasny Oktyabr name in Cyrillic.
