Vintage Shelley Harmony vase
This is a beautiful Art Deco Shelley Harmony Ware vase with a blue fluted, bulbous shape and subtle ribbing. It dates from the 1930's. In excellent condition, it stands 12cm tall and was designed by Eric Slater. Harmony Ware, produced by Shelley between 1932 and 1940, showcased simple banded wares in graduating shades of one or complimentary colors. This piece exemplifies that with its gently varying shades of blue bands. Despite being nearly a century old, this vase has remained free from damage and is just as charming as it was when it was first made. The base is marked with the Shelley hallmarked and the impressed model number 955.
