This handsome Victorian writing slope is a wonderful example of late 19th-century craftsmanship — beautifully made, richly grained and full of character.

 

Crafted from burr walnut, the box is finished with brass corner straps and bindings, giving it that classic campaign-style strength and elegance. Inside, it opens to reveal a freshly fitted gold-tooled leather skiver, a lift-out pen tray, a brass-topped inkwell, and two secret drawers cleverly concealed behind the main compartment.

Excellent for its age, with only light age-related marks. Skiver is newly fitted.
