Vintage Shelley Harmony Ware Jug — Orange Graduated Drip Glaze, England, 20cm

A large vintage jug by Shelley, England, in their sought-after Harmony Ware line — a hand-finished drip and graduated glaze pattern produced by the maker in the early-to-mid 20th century. This example has a rich orange glaze at the neck and shoulder, softening through banded cream and tan tones toward the base, with a bright yellow-orange interior and matching pulled handle and spout. Each piece of Shelley Harmony Ware has a unique glaze finish, as the graduated colour was achieved by hand for every item. Marked “Shelley England” to the base in the maker’s shield backstamp. Stands 20cm high. A striking piece of British Art Deco-era studio-influenced tableware, equally at home as a decorative jug or a display vase.
