Vintage WWII-Era RAF Pattern Split-Lens Flying Goggles — Stadium-Style, Made in England

A pair of vintage split-lens flying/motoring goggles in the classic WWII-era RAF Mark VIII pattern, with folding grey-painted metal frames, angled box-glass lenses, brown leather face padding, and an elasticated cloth headstrap. Stamped “MADE IN ENGLAND” and “PATENT” to the lens surrounds. This split-lens design was worn by both RAF aircrew and civilian motorists through the 1930s and 1940s, made by manufacturers such as Stadium in this instantly recognisable style. The goggles fold flat via a central hinge for storage.

 

Genuine period wear throughout, including a crack to one of the lenses (visible in photos), scattered paint loss to the metal frames, and age wear to the leather and strap.
