    Unit price per

A Verner's Pattern marching compass, as issued to British Army officers during the First World War. The dial is marked "Verner's Pattern," and the base is stamped with a maker's mark, serial number ("No. 108645"), and the date 1917. The compass is housed in its original brown leather case, which bears a War Department broad arrow stamp and an officer's name stamped inside the lid, though this is only partially legible.

Condition: Scratches and tarnishing to the brass case, consistent with age and service use. The leather case shows wear, scuffing and some separation of stitching at the hinge.
