WWI Triple Entente Commemorative Jug, British Manufacture

A small ceramic jug commemorating the Triple Entente, produced during the First World War. The front is printed with the crossed flags of the Allied nations — Britain, France, Belgium, Russia and Japan — set around a crowned Union Jack roundel, with the banners "The Triple Entente / United We Stand" and "The Allied Armies" beneath. Marked "British Manufacture" to the base.

 

The Triple Entente was the alliance between Britain, France and Russia that formed the core of the Allied Powers, built on earlier agreements including the Entente Cordiale of 1904 and the Anglo-Russian Entente of 1907.

Condition:
